Today, I’ve got something so easy for you, it’s scary.
Get it – Halloween – - scary … ha ha .
No? – Not funny? Actually pretty tacky?
Got it.
When the munchkin’s run home tonight, and yell “ we’re having a Halloween party in school tomorrow and I told them I’m bringing a snack” – instead of wanting to cast a spell on the little monsters, put them to work.
This is the perfect family friendly treat – and it’s easy – and you don’t need your oven.
And did I mention it’s delicious?
Did I also mention that when you add pumpkin spice to anything it becomes gold.
True story.
Halloween Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispy Squares
4 Tbsp margarine ~ 3 for squares, 1 to butter dish
40 regular marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispy Cereal
½ Tbsp Pumpkin Spice
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Halloween sprinkles (feel free to use any holiday sprinkles, or ixnay all together if you’d prefer)
Directions:
Using 1 tbsp of margarine, butter a rectangular dish. ( Perfect for little monster hands)
In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add pumpkin spice and salt. Mix until well combined.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla extract.
Add Rice Krispy Cereal, and mix until well coated. Using a greased spatula firmly press into buttered dish.
Add a little sprinkle love. ( Tell me of a little princess, who doesn’t love a little sprinkle action?)
Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 squares.
Enjoy with all of your ghost and goblins!!
Feel free to comment below if you’ll be dressing up this year? Or even better , I’d love to see a picture of you and your familia.
Have a great Halloween everyone – stay safe – - and I fully support tummy aches induced by far too much candy eating
Xo
